Community: Volunteerism

CherryWood Village is founded on the spirit of giving back to the community through a commitment to service. We welcome our residents to join us in this commitment. Volunteer opportunities are available on campus or nearby at the Adventist Medical Center, East Portland Community Center or Floyd Light Middle School.

Community: Spiritual Opportunities

Weekly services and individual counseling are offered by our staff chaplain and visiting priests and ministers. Spiritual study groups meet throughout the week. Many gifted resident and guest musicians enhance our ecumenical worship services.

What Residents Are Saying . . .

"Some of my favorite things about CWV: (not in any particular order)

  1. Opportunity to make new
    friends
  2. Christian atmosphere with family values
  3. Loving, friendly nonjudgmental ladies in Bible study
  4. Opportunity to volunteer ... I'm so thankful I didn't wait until I'm old and unable to make my own decision about coming to CherryWood."
